Hi, We cater for school and weekend camps around the greater auckland and Islands
we try and cater for all needs ,at no added cost, beef, chicken ,fish, or vegan. vegetarian , also special needs, but no responsibility can be taken for the heath and well being of any person .
** Please Note if someone has a severe allergy which is life & death or sickness, it is Strongly Advisible to Bring all your own Food to Camp as all food can become easy cross-contaminated food must be In a sealed container and kept well away from all other food and must be cooked well away from all other foods gluten free cannot used the toaster or oven unsealed , if you supply all your own food and someone cook your own food there's no catering charge // But if you wish for us to cater for this Special needs there is an added cost of $25.00 pp per day to cover costs,
i.e, gluten free,wheet free,dairy free,nuts free,///HALAL FOOD .. MEAT, cheese,milk, or want-not , Must BE SUPPLIED BY PARENTS PLEASE So that they know that they are getting Halal food, or they can become vegetarian for the week;
No Responsibility can be taken for health & safety of special needs,, camp organizer must organize one person to health & safety and look at ingredients of All food before each meal.... No camp kitchen food can be eaten by " Special needs" people without it first being ok by the person responsible to do this is to saveguard both yourselves and us ,,
we do our best to cater for all special needs within the time we have,with no added cost
We prefer not to have campers email us or phone us regarding their needs as this makes it very hard on us .. as they phone us at all hours and when we are busy..and people get upset with us when we say that we can't talk ....We prefer to leave all Special Needs to the camp organizer
to get back to us on..thank you for your understanding ..Cheers

all food safety precautions are taken as far as possible with the transportation & precooking of food in keeping with NZQA food safety Heath & safety NZQA 167,2066
In keeping with food safety all cooked foods need to be kept as far as possible free from contamination , ,Bearing in mind one persons sickness can go through the whole camp within 24 hours.
Health & Safety must be our #1 concern.
#1 my health & safety in the kitchen is that with all servers .no touching food with hands while serving out meals (only intermediate age upwards please) if students are serving the food, a organizer must be in charge at all times bearing in mind the gas ovens at camp Bentzon are less then 1 M away from the servers and are up to 300c hot, campers .can not handle or pick up food with their hands from the servery and need to be given a health & Safety talk before serving food / at camp Bentzon..please Beware of the Hot Stoves that are very close to the servingline....Please do not use the kitchen as a short cut ...
#2 No eating of food while serving out food or with those waiting in line, & must take full responsbility in policing the line if allowing kids to serve food, ( We just had a camp where a girl who was serving out ice cream was licking the spoon in between serving each person that night I had alot of very sick kids ) only intermediate age upwards please serving
#3 all campers must wash their hands before each meal.(or use our soft care hand saditiser)
#4 No child may come into the kitchen without permission from an adult ,for safety reasons.and must have a supervisor at all times..
#5 No Responsibility can be taken for health & safety of special needs ,camp organizer must organize one person to health & safety the food before each meal.
For Health & safety 2016 ...The work area from the stove to any work bench is cooks area with Hot pots and trays being worked on ..this area is very dangerous and people can get easy burned ...
so we ask that this area cannot be used as a shortcut in the kitchen ...

Norovirus: Norovirus can very easy be brought into camp by an infected person ,and can bring the whole camp down sick within 24 hours ,for this reason its very inportant for cleanliness in the toilets.....
I had a camp a wee while ago, a child brought it into camp,and by the end of the week 25~30 people were down sick with the Norovirus,
